The Waters of Life

In 2006 Margaret decided to try her hand at writing The Great Australian Novel.

That novel “The Waters of Life” remains a work in progress. It was begun mainly as she wished to join a Speculative Fiction writing group called Ad Astra which is based at the South Australian Writers' Centre in Adelaide . The group required one to present the first chapter of a novel as an entrance opus, and thus “The Waters of Life” was born.

Synopsis

  “The Waters of Life” is a dark ecological horror story, which begins and ends at a hot spring some distance north of Adelaide . One of the characters sees an apparition in the mist surrounding the spring and that apparition haunts her and two of the other characters for the rest of the story. “The Waters” simmer still on the back burner of Margaret's imagination.
