In 2002 Margaret entered the first “Slippery When Wet” competition.

Slippery When Wet is a yearly competition run by a Victorian group, Roadside Services Pty Ltd, which seeks stories from writers across Australia and New Zealand relating to travel on the road.

Margaret's story “Lemmings” was published in Volume 1 of the anthology produced by Roadside Services. The story has now been re-issued in a four volume set which includes a CD and which will be sold throughout Australia and New Zealand .

“Lemmings” is a ghost story of a couple who are doomed to eternally travel with their caravan across the Nullabor Plain and which was inspired by a trip Margaret and her husband undertook (without a caravan) across that area.
